Sarah Wagner Montoro joined Allan N. Karlin & Associates in 2007, practicing in the areas of employment and personal injury law. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Montoro served as a law clerk for Judge Robert B. King, Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  

In addition to the firm’s general civil practice, Ms. Montoro has worked as local counsel with the Innocence Project, a national organization dedicated to exonerating the wrongfully convicted. She has also represented individuals whose convictions have been overturned in their efforts to restore parental rights.  

Ms. Montoro received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law (2006), where she graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the West Virginia Law Review.  Prior to law school, Ms. Montoro attended West Virginia University (2003) where she graduated summa cum laude.   

Ms. Montoro is a member of the West Virginia Employment Lawyers Association and the West Virginia Association for Justice.  Ms. Montoro also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center (RDVIC), which offers information and services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence in Monongalia, Preston and Taylor Counties.
